In 2007 there were staffing shortages at the National Hospital
for Neurology and Neurosurgery due to Service Development and a
poor response to the internal recruitment programme. Through a
competitive tendering process Geneva Health were awarded the
contract to supply permanent . . . Geneva Health proposed and
delivered a very realistic programme resulting in the permanent
recruitment of over 25 nurses, the majority of which were Band 6,
in a short time scale.
The candidates were well screened and the recruitment process
very well managed, even ensuring that all the Trust documentation
was used and completed. One of the results of this has been that
since the first candidate from Geneva started in December 2007, 80%
are still in post as of November 2009.
I was very happy with the service provided by Geneva Health,
both during the recruitment phase and the follow up after the
interviews. We still maintain good communications with the
recruitment team and receive candidate CVs when we need to recruit
those difficult to fill positions.
