Training Opportunities
Geneva Health has an excellent reputation for providing high
quality of Agency staff. To continue doing this, we need you
to ensure that you are up to date with the latest prescribed
practices. This is not only for the safety of your clients, but for
your safety also.
The better our reputation is, the more work opportunities we can
provide you with. As a member of the Geneva team, you are
expected to attend the training updates relevant to your role.
Geneva training also provides a great way to meet other staff and
exchange thoughts, ideas, problems and solutions.
Dates for Continuing Training 2010 are as
follows:
- June 24th - Holistic Care
- Sep - Topic to be confirmed
Please ring your Geneva Consultant for more information.
It is also compulsory in the UK to update your training in the
following areas annually:
- Basic Life Support
- Moving and Handling
- Fire Safety
- Health & Safety (requirements of the 1974 and 1999
Acts)
- COSHH
- RIDDOR
- Infection Control
- Lone Worker
- POVA & POCA
Midwives are also required to update annually:
- Resuscitation of the Newborn
- Interpretation of Cardiotocograph Traces
Geneva Health will assist in organising annual updates and will
pay for or heavily subsidise these courses, the exception being
Interpretation of Cardiotocograph Traces (CTG). Failure to update
the above certificates on an annual basis means we are unable to
assist you with finding work - you must have these annual
updates and it is your responsibility to work with Geneva
Health to attend these courses.
