Training for all Geneva Staff
Patient and Manual Handling
Levels of back and shoulder injuries are particularly high among
care workers. The nature of your work places constant strain
on your muscles and joints. The nature and availability of
equipment is constantly changing, along with recommendations for
its use. This is training that should be attended on an
annual basis - we can guarantee you will learn something new every
time! If you have not yet received an invitation to attend,
please call Linda to book a place on our next course on (09)
355 0161 or email lindar@genevahealth.com.
This is something you can't afford to miss!
CPR
Geneva provides hospital based CPR training which must be
updated every 12-24 months. If you have not received an
update invitation, please let us know. Alternatively, if you
have completed an update elsewhere, we will require a copy of your
certificate.
Challenging Behaviours/CPI/Calming &
Restraint/SPEC
While training requirements vary from client to client, all
staff working in areas of mental health and/or intellectual
disability MUST complete annual updates. This is a Health
& Safety requirement and failure to attend may result in being
stood down from duties.
Any staff working in any environment where they may encounter
challenging behaviours are most welcome to attend our
CPI/Challenging Behaviour sessions.
