Immigration Requirements
With the exception of new member states, Romania and Bulgaria,
all EU citizens are eligible to work in the UK without a work
permit.
However if you plan to work for an employer for more than a
month, individuals from Czech Republic; Estonia; Hungary; Latvia;
Lithuania; Poland; Slovakia; or Slovenia normally have to register
under the Worker Registration scheme. For more information please
visit Home Office website.
If you are from overseas to find out if you are eligible to work
in the UK go to www.workingintheuk.gov.uk
or call the Home Office - UK Border Agency on 0870 606 7766.
Unfortunately on the Temporary / Agency Services side of the
business we are unable to assist with the application of visas and
work permits and you will need to be eligible to work in the UK
before we can assist you with work.
For those looking for permanent positions, the following
disciplines or specialities are considered a skill shortage, and
work permits could be arranged. Our Recruitment Consultants in our
Permanent Services division are here to assist further.
- Registered Nurses
(employed or engaged at Band 7 or 8 of Agenda for Change in their
independent sector equivalents)
- Operating Theatre Nurses
- Critical Care Nurse
- Operating Department Practitioners
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Radiographers / Sonographers
- Biomedical Scientists
- Physiologists

If you already have an existing work permit with another
employer, our Permanent Services team can offer assistance with
obtaining a transfer of this permit to a new employer if we
successfully place you in a new job (some conditions
apply).
